In Five Years Time.

All it took was five years. Five years of thoughts, plans and prayers. Five years of disbelief, uncertainty, and fear. Hi, my name is Midiã and this is my little corner of the internet. I’ve been dreaming of starting this for five very different years. Years of joy, heartbreak, loss, faith, new beginnings and breakthrough. Through it all, words and writing have always been a constant way to reflect God’s mercies. Sharing thoughts of faith always made their appearances on my timeline, but it wasn’t until the end of 2018 that I had confirmation after confirmation that I shouldn’t be afraid, and who knows, maybe this little corner of the internet might inspire you in some way. My hope is that my experiences and reflections, through these five years and more, might inspire you to draw closer to the creator.

Today is the first day of 2019. I went to sleep and awoke, thinking about words. Words of gratitude, words of thankfulness, words of amazement and words of wonders. “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” The past year and a half have been a time of tremendous growth and faith. I learned first hand how stepping out in faith feels. How amazing it is to see dreams and prayers come to fruition. Even the little things, that you’ve never told anyone but God, especially those.

Today is the first day of 2019. Today is the day that I will no longer, write down on my list of goals “Write more, or start that blog.” Today is the day that I will choose to live by faith and not by fear. Today is the day that begins the next chapter of my life, and yours. My hope is that through reflections in faith, you will be inspired to not let fear get in the way of those dreams that you have put off, year after year, day after day. Wondering when you will be bold enough to start. Those deep down God given desires and dreams. That idea you just can’t seem to shake. That goal you write down every year, but never do. I encourage you to go for it. Fear not. Isaiah 43:1 “Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.”  

Five years in the making, here we go. The very first day, the very first post, the very first leap of faith. In this space, I will share my thoughts, and reflections, and God willing they will be a source of hope to you.I hope my thoughts and experiences might inspire you to live through faith, by faith and in faith. Follow along this journey, may it inspire you to look beyond your circumstances and live in faith, not fear.
